Schools and AttractionsResidents of the city are served by the Allen Independent School District, with many well-rated elementary, middle, and high schools. There are seven colleges or universities within a 25-mile radius, the most notable being the University of Texas at Dallas. Some of the highlights of the town include the 32 public parks and greenbelts with amenities like swimming pools, hiking trails, and even in-line hockey courts. The average age of Allen homes is about 30 years younger than the national average, and most offer twice as much square footage.
